Tuitahi pā site

This is the Tuitahi site, near Ōtorohanga, seen from the air. The Ngāti Maniapoto ancestor Maniapoto lived at this pā. According to F. L. Phillips, author of The landmarks of Tainui / Nga tohu a Tainui, it is the only pā of Maniapoto not to have been destroyed by land development.
