Milton's mill

Image
Milton's mill
The mill in Milton was known as the Bruce Woollen Manufacturing Co. for many years, until it was bought by Alliance Textiles. The mill was the town’s biggest employer until it closed in 1999, two years after the mural (top) was painted. In 2009 Qualityarns operated from the former mill buildings, producing specialised yarns with a workforce of around 50.
