School vegetables

Kate Robinson and Thomas Lancaster water the silverbeet at Pukekohe East Primary School. Their school serves a semi-rural community on the edge of Pukekohe. In 2005 it won an Enviroschool Award for promoting sustainable practices and projects. These included a recycling system, planting native trees, and starting a vegetable garden.
