Te Turanga-o-Kupe

Te Turanga-o-Kupe

The sentinel rock Te Turanga-o-Kupe stands just off Seatoun beach and recalls the visit of the Polynesian explorer Kupe to the region. Also known as Steeple Rock, it is near where the passenger ferry Wahine foundered in 1968.
