He tānga tēnei o te haki o te Whakaminenga o ngā Iwi o te Tai Tokerau mō te motu i te tau 1834. Kei runga ko ngā momo tae me ngā hoahoa o te haki, tae atu ki te whetū mata waru. E kī ana te tuhinga: 'Kua tohua e te minenga Rangatira o Aotearoa te Haki mō te Motu ki mua i te aroaro o George Lambert Esquire, te Kāpene o te Kaipuke o te Kīngi a "Alligator", rāua ko te Kainoho Ārahi o Ingarangi a James Busby ki Waitangi, i Pēwhairangi i te 20 o ngā rā o Maehe i te tau 1834'.
