I was a student there in the 50s and early 60s when the late John Bennett was the head master. I was dux equal with Ira Bartlett who probably deserved the the award to herself. I've often wondered what became of Ira and others at the school. I have very fond memories of Te Hauke and my early life there. Me and my wife and family moved to the King Country in 1981. Our current neighbor Vicky was a Cribb from Te Hauke. I remember Edith and Tama Cribb from my school days.
