Porirua shopping centre

In the 1990s a new mall was built next to the Porirua shopping centre. The facility attracted shoppers from northern Wellington to Pukerua Bay and provided jobs for service workers. The mall helped to lessen the impact of job losses caused by the decline of manufacturing in the city.
