Harbour pursuits

Harbour pursuits

With a lack of wind rarely a problem, sailing and windsurfing on Wellington Harbour are popular pastimes. While windsurfers and small sailboats race in and out of Evans Bay, larger boats head to the open waters of Cook Strait. Other craft lie still, fishing lines outstretched. Onshore fishing can also be good, with anglers perching along rocky outcrops and wharves.
