Emblem of the coast

Emblem of the coast

Kāpiti Island has become an emblem for the Kāpiti district. Its dark, jagged outline forms the background to this painting, ‘People and the land’, by Raumati artist Bodhi Vincent. Commissioned in 1993 by the Kapiti Coast District Council, the work hangs in the council chambers.
