Hōtere Garden Oputae

Artist Ralph Hōtere has long made his home in Port Chalmers. The sculpture garden he has organised includes his own work and that of other artists, including this 1989 piece by Shona Rapira Davies, ‘They do cut down the poles that hold up the sky’.
