I tāna poroporoaki ka mea ia, ‘Kua korekore ngā whetū i te rangi.  Kua whati te tāhuhu o te whare, kua turuturu.  Kua whakaueue te hunga tamariki ki te māeke.  Kua matuakoretia. Kua rōhai te iwi.’
