Te Kaha pātaka carvings

I hangaia tēnei pātaka i te tau 1750 pea, ā, i tū ki Maraenui, ki te tai rāwhiti o Te Moana-a-Toitehuatahi. Nāwai ka wetekina ngā whakairo o te whare, ā, ka hunaia ki roto i ngā ana tūtata i Te Kaha. Ka mutu pea tēnei hei tauira mō te wānanga whakairo a Te Whānau-a-Apanui. He kaha ake tōna rite ki ngā whakairo o Te Arawa, i tō ērā o Ngāti Porou. Ko tēnei tētahi o ngā whakairo matua i te haerenga o Te Māori ki tāwāhi.
