Kei tēnā, kei tēnā o ngā Kīngi tōna kara. Kei runga i te kara o te Kingi Māori tuatoru ko tōna ingoa, Kīngi Mahuta Tāwhiao Pōtatau Te Wherowhero, kei reira ngā ingoa o tōna matua me tōna tupuna i mua i a ia. Ko ngā whetū e whitu ko Te Paki o Matariki, he tohu nui nō Te Kīngitanga. Ko Uenuku anō, he atua; ko te waka ko Tainui, te waka nāna ngā tūpuna o Mahuta, he oti rā o Waikato, i mau mai i Hawaiki mai anō.
