Kōrero: Tā moko – Māori tattooing

Ngā whao tā moko, i te tau 1773

I tāia tēnei whakaahua ki te whakaputanga ōkawa o te hekenga tuatahi a Kāpene Kuki ki Aotearoa (i ngā tau 1768-71). Kei waenganui ko ētahi momo uhi. Kāore he kakau a ētahi. Kei te taha matau he māhoe, arā, hei patupatu i te uhi.
