Eastwoodhill arboretum

Video file

The arboretum at Eastwoodhill, just over 34 km west of Gisborne on Wharekopae Road, is the product of planting by Douglas Cook between 1910 and 1965. It presents a spectacular display in autumn, when the leaves on deciduous trees change colour. In this segment from a May 1993 episode of Palmers garden show, presenter Maggie Barry introduces the arboretum.
