Hīona, Maungapōhatu, 1907

Ko Hīona te whare porowhita o te poropiti i a Rua Kēnana. Kei konei rātou ko ana wāhine e tū ana i te tau 1907. I tauiratia tēnei whare ahurea i te temepara o Rāwiri, arā, te Dome of the Rock. Whai muri i tōna mauheretanga i te tau 1916, ka tau te kapua pouri ki runga i te kāinga o Maungapōhatu, ā, ka popo a Hīona.

The Dome of the Rock is not the Hebrew temple of the Old Testament - in fact, the Dome of the Rock is a seventh-century structure built by the Umayyad caliphs, though it does stand on the Temple Mount near the reputed site of Solomon's temple and its later successors.
