In April 2008 three protesters from a peace group, Anzac Ploughshares, used sickles to deflate one of the protective plastic domes covering the station’s satellite dishes. The men were charged with unlawful entry and wilful damage; they pleaded not guilty before a jury in March 2010 and were acquitted.
