Greenstone valley, Otago

Image
Greenstone valley, Otago

This open tussock country is above the treeline – the natural upper limit of trees. The sharp boundary line of the dark green forest can be seen at the top left and in the distance. The floor of the Greenstone valley has been cleared for grazing stock.
