Kōrero: Kūmara

Te hōrapa o ngā whakahoutanga a te Māori ki ngā tikanga whakatipu.

Ka whakaatu te mahere nei i te hōrapa o te ahuwhenua Māori – ngā oneone panoni, ngā rua tango kirikiri, ngā takotoranga kōhatu (rārangi, pūkai, putunga, whakaōritenga), ngā awakari kei runga puke me ngā awakari kei ngā whenua powharu. Ka raweke e te Māori te oneone ki te whakamahana me te pana wai mā te tāpiri i te kirikiri, te one rānei ka tangohia i ngā rua tango kirikiri. Ka kitea ngā rārangi kōhatu i ngā whenua he nui te kōhatu i whakaemia kia pai ai mō te whakatipu, i whakarārangitia rānei ngā kōhatu hei tohu kei hea ngā ripa tauārai. Ko te whakapae, whakatipuria ai he kai ki ētahi o aua rārangi.
