Southern limits of kauri and other plants

This interactive map allows you to reveal the natural range of some native plant species. As you travel southwards in New Zealand plants that prefer warmer temperatures or cannot withstand frosts reach their southern limits. (These are natural limits and some of these species can and are grown further south by planting in favourable sites.)
