Nā E. J. Wakefield tēnei tānga o Ngāmotu, e kīia ana ko Adventure in New Zealand. He mea whakaputa i te tau 1845; nā Mrs Wicksteed, te wahine a te āpiha o Te Kamupene o Niu Tīreni te huahua (sketch) ake. He kōrero whakamōmona tēnei hei whakawai i te Pākehā ki te rohe o Taranaki. Nō te tau 1841 ka tau ngā tāngata whai tuatahi o Te Kamupene o Niu Tīreni; hiahia katoa ratou ki ngā whenua parahua o Te Āti Awa.
