Kayaking the Huka Falls

Only the most adventurous – or foolhardy – attempt to kayak the Huka Falls, where the Waikato River pounds through a chasm and then plunges 11 metres into a basin. The first successful attempt was made by Nick Kerkham and Greg Oke in 1981.
