My husband and I were returning from NZ on th 27th January. Auckland airport had been flooded the day before and our Singapore Airlines flight delayed to the next day. We would have been stuck at the airport all night (having come from Wellington early evening) with only a tiled floor to sleep on as all the hotels were full. However this kind, generous little group of Māoris welcome us to their Meeting House, we worshipped with them, we’re given drinks and food and then slept with blankets on camp beds in their beautiful Marae. The hospitality was outstanding and the warmth of the welcome humbling. Thank you so very much for transforming a very trying experience into a very uplifting one.
