Ko Korokī taiohi, ko Kīngi Korokī Te Rata Mahuta Pōtatau Te Wherowhero whakaiti tēnei (kei waenganui) o te tau 1933 pea, arā, i te tau ka whakawahia ai ia hei Kīngi Māori tuarima. Kei tōna taha ko tōna kaitohutohu matua ko Pei Te Hurinui Jones (mauī), rāua ko Te Kiri Kātipa. Ehara a Korokī i te tangata whaikōrero, he rangamāheuheu ia ki te tū hei kīngi.
