Waitangi port

Waitangi port

The principal point of entry for shipping to the Chatham Islands is the port at Waitangi. The Waitangi wharf was built in the 1930s. In 2020 it was operated by the Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust. Most freight for the islands came by ship (some comes by air) and was off-loaded at Waitangi.
