Waitangi port

Waitangi port

The principal point of entry for shipping to the Chatham Islands is the port at Waitangi. The Waitangi wharf was first built in the 1930s. In 2012 it was operated by the Chatham Islands Enterprise Trust. Most freight for the islands came by ship (though some comes by air) and it is off-loaded at Waitangi.
