‘Te ringa mahi kai’

Atu i te tau 1819 ka whakaeke a Ngāpuhi i te rohe o Whanganui. Ko Tūwhare te rangatira o te taua o Ngāpuhi i ngana ki te patu i a Te Hā Mārama rātou ko tōna iwi. Ka taotū a Tūwhare engari kīhai i mate. Ka whiua e Tūwhare tana kanga ki a Te Hā, ‘he ringa mahi kai’, noa iho ia. Ko te whakautu a Te Hā, kāore ia i patu i a Tūwhare, kia whakahaua e Te Hā te rongo mō tana toa. Nā tēnei āhuatanga ka tapaina te taiaha, ko ‘Te ringa mahi kai’.

Kia ora, can u tell me where you got this pakiwaitara from, this story??? i am just wondering how you managed to get maori history from 1819 and how factual this information is, especially when you have named the iwi of my tupuna. I have never heard such thing especially when my ancestors were of both places, i would like to see you sources, the evidence to whonm wrote this pce of information, that you have published for the world to read.
