Rotorua Museum Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa

Rotorua Museum Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa

Since 1969, 61 years after the 1908 opening of the building, Rotorua’s Bath House has been home to the Rotorua museum, Te Whare Taonga o Te Arawa. As well as displays on tribal and local history, and on the Tarawera eruption of 1886, visitors can see how the Bath House operated in its heyday between the two world wars.
