Wind roses

A wind rose is a graphic representation of a locality’s wind climate. These wind roses show the very different weather in different areas of New Zealand, including wind direction, frequency of high winds and average number of calm days each year. Although Nelson and Wellington are on the same latitude, their climates are very different.
