Summertime, Arthur’s Pass

Summertime, Arthur’s Pass

This landscape, painted about 1945 by Grace Butler, depicts Mt Rolleston in the Arthur’s Pass region. Butler and her husband owned a cottage near the pass, and she used it as a base to make many paintings of this high-country environment.
