From the mid-1920s cereals such as Kornies, Kelloggs Cornflakes, Rice Bubbles, Puffed Wheat and Weet-Bix were listed in a monthly price survey published in the New Zealand Grocers’ Review. These types of breakfast cereals originated as purified vegetarian foods.
