Kei te whakaputa whakataukī te pakeke i te wāhanga nei o te kiriata a Whale rider. Ko tāna, ‘He rei ngā niho, he parāoa ngā kauae’. He ‘niho rei’ tērā i whiua e ia ki te taha, he taonga whakapaipai tēnei ka whakamaua ki te kakī.
