Watch this light-hearted clip from a 1954 government newsreel promoting a performance of A midsummer night's dream by the New Zealand Players. Richard and Edith Campion founded this company in 1952 with the help of Nola Millar. It toured nationally for the next eight years, giving thousands of young people their first taste of live theatre.
