Three generations of a family

Three generations of a family

This North Vietnamese family was photographed in Wellington in 1989. At back from left: Thach and baby Tu, Tuan and Thach's parents Tot Thi Khong and Bot van Nguyen. In front are Luc (left), Thanh and Tiem. While most Vietnamese in New Zealand were Buddhist, many were Christians – as demonstrated by the imagery on this family’s mantelpiece.
