A $50,000 snapper

Rob Parker of Houhora won the 2005 Snapper Classic with this 7.6-kilogram catch. He also won the 2000 competition, and admitted to spending 200 days a year fishing. Started in 1981, the event, held at Ninety Mile Beach, has become a Northland institution.
