Spottie and snapper

Spottie and snapper

Nick Theodorou (12) holds up the spottie which won him second place in Wellington’s 1990 Under-14 Longest Spottie contest. He also holds a big snapper caught by another lucky angler. Children are often introduced to recreational fishing by catching easy species such as spotties, before moving on to more challenging fish.
