Promoting fishing

This poster was made around 1935 for the New Zealand Government Tourist Department. At the time, fishing in rivers and lakes for introduced trout and salmon (left) was already popular with British tourists. Big-game fishing for species such as marlin (right) was only just starting to gain a following, and attracted few tourists.
