I te ata o te takurua ka whiti ake te rā ki runga i te tihi o Hikurangi, te maunga tapu o Ngāti Porou. Ko Hineruhi tētahi o ngā atua e pā ana ki te ata me te waiata. Mēnā ka rawe te waiata o tētahi wahine ka whakaritea ia ki a Hineruhi.
