1968 Paralympic team

The first New Zealand Paralympic team, which competed in the 1968 Tel Aviv Paralympics, consisted of 15 athletes. The team's entire medal haul was won by one athlete, Eve Rimmer (fourth from right in the photo). She won a gold medal in the javelin, silvers in the shot put and the 500-metre freestyle swimming, and a bronze in the discus.
