1968 Paralympic team

The first New Zealand Paralympic team, competitors in the 1968 Tel Aviv Paralympics. A total of 15 athletes represented New Zealand at these Paralympics. The team's entire medal haul was won by one athlete, Eve Rimmer (fourth from the right in the photo). She won a gold medal in the javelin, silver medals in the shot put and in the 500 metre freestyle swimming, and a bronze medal in the discus.
