Cyclist Sarah Ulmer gets some final encouragement from coach Ron Cheatley at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Ulmer, who came seventh in the 3,000-metres individual pursuit at Atlanta in 1996, narrowly missed out on bronze in the same event at Sydney. She went on to win gold at the 2004 Athens Olympics with a world-record time of 3 minutes, 24.537 seconds. Ron Cheatley was the coach for the Olympic cycling team at four Olympic games: Los Angeles in 1984, Seoul in 1988, Barcelona in 1992 and Sydney in 2000.
