Mark Todd and his horse Charisma win gold in the three-day individual event at the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Todd and Charisma had won the same event at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics. Todd represented New Zealand at all five Olympics between 1984 and 2000, then emerged from 'retirement' to compete at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. He has since competed at the 2012 London and 2016 Rio Olympics.
