The 1968 bottle was dismantled after the holiday season ended, but a smaller one was constructed by the Paeroa Borough Council and Innes Tartan, and was unveiled in August 1969. It remains a popular sight with visitors. It has been on its current site at Ōhinemuri reserve since 2002 and remains popular with visitors.
