The Frimley canning factory

Women cut peaches for canning at Frimley Canning Factory in Hawke’s Bay around 1910. The factory made various kinds of jam, canned peaches, pears, apricots, tomatoes, beans and peas, as well as pickles, spices, baking powder and lemon peel.
