Rescuing stock from flood water

These farmers are rescuing sheep in a one-in-150-year flood on the Taieri Plain, near Dunedin, in April 2006. New Zealand’s rainfall is unevenly distributed not only geographically but also in time: cloudbursts can dump a month’s rainfall in just a few hours.
