River level fluctuations

This diagram shows how much the height of the Hutt River at Te Marua fluctuated over a five-month period from September 2007 to January 2008. The vertical scale measures how high the river level rose against a vertical marker. Floods are represented by sudden spikes. The normal height of the river is around 1,800 millimetres.
