I te tau 1918 ka tukua e Metara Te Ao-marere o Ōtaki tētahi maramataka hī ika ki a Te Pēhi (Elsdon Best); nā Mita Te Tai i tuku ki a Metara. He tawhito te maramataka Māori, heoi, nō te rau tau 1800 ngā tohu. He pō he tohu, he pō he tohu. Hei tauira, he tohu te ira pango mō ngā rā pai mō te hī me te aho, tāpae atu ngā pō pai mō te hī me te rama. Tērā a Whiro – he ira me te rārangi – he pō pai mō ngā mahi e rua.
