Māui A sinks

Māui A sinks

When Māui A was dropped to the sea floor it was a momentous occasion. Everything went according to plan – except that the platform sank more than 2 metres further than expected. This Nevile Lodge cartoon exaggerates the point. Two metres was added to the top of the platform once it was in place, raising it above the reach of storm-generated waves.
