Furnishing a home

In the early 1900s furniture warehouses offered customers the service of completely furnishing their house. The number of items varied according to the house size and household budgets. This 1910 Tonson Garlick advertisement is for the furnishing of a relatively large (eight-roomed) house, which would have been occupied by a middle-class family. It is interesting to compare the amenities in the servant's bedroom with those in the No. 1 bedroom.
