Bishopscourt drawing room

In the drawing room at Bishopscourt (the Anglican Bishop's home) in Christchurch in 1859, the arrangement of furniture reflects the relative simplicity of the Georgian aesthetic of the 1830s and 1840s. Much of the furniture was probably brought out from Britain.
